Why White Accountability Groups?

White leaders and change agents need to accelerate their capacity to dismantle systemic racism. Well-facilitated White Accountability Groups provide transformational learning experiences to develop greater courage and competence to partner with Black, Indigenous, and other People of Color as well as white colleagues to interrupt racist dynamics and create more racially just organizations and client services.

Learning Outcomes/Purpose

This course is designed to deepen your capacity to:

Anticipate and effectively engage common types of resistance and difficult conversations 

Lead conversations about the damaging impact of anti-Blackness, White Privilege, and White Supremacy Culture in the organization

Work with leaders to get their buy-in and organizational support for White Accountability Groups

Teach participants how to use a Race Lens to analyze & revise current policies, practices, programs, & products to create more racially inclusive client services & work environments

Teach participants the skills to effectively interrupt and shift racist dynamics and interpersonal aggressions in the moment 

Develop a powerful, scaffolded curriculum to help participants recognize racist attitudes and behaviors in themselves and others

To have inclusive organizations, it’s imperative that as whites, we do our own healing work to disrupt and unlearn all the internalized dominance and racist beliefs we were taught and still hold onto.
